Training cultural actors to better value their online content
As part of a joint initiative between Québec and France, the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec has entrusted Compétence Culture with the development of a massive open online course (MOOCs) on the discoverability of Francophone cultural and artistic content. Compétence Culture called on Synapse C to contribute, as a consultant, to the development of the educational content and the architecture of this discoverability training.
Expertise at the heart of a structured learning path
Synapse C collaborated in the design of the MOOCs, in line with its fields of expertise: data intelligence, governance, interoperability, pooling, use of open data and recommendation algorithms. His contributions included:
- the writing of educational content and the production of documentary resources;
- participation in the scripting of the modules of this training in discoverability (storyboards, structure of the sessions);
- the identification and mobilization of complementary experts from its network;
- the contribution to the project’s pedagogical and steering committees.
The modules developed address SEO, usage data, metadata, unique identifiers, data governance and the analysis of recommendation algorithms, among others.
A strategic training tool for the Francophone cultural ecosystem
Disseminated in Quebec via the CULTIVE platform, this MOOCs allow professionals in the cultural sector to better understand the mechanisms of online visibility and to build concrete strategies to improve the discoverability of their content.
This project illustrates the key role of Synapse C in the transmission of knowledge related to data intelligence and in supporting cultural organizations towards a more effective and equitable digital presence.
